Ohio Assessments for Educators Information
Students working towards an Ohio 4 year Resident Educator License must take and pass three tests:
- Ohio Assessment for Educators - Early Childhood Education - OAE #012
- Ohio Assessment for Educators - Assessment of Professional Knowledge Early Childhood (PK-3) - OAE #001
- Ohio Assessment for Educators - Foundations of Reading - OAE #090
Dual Montessori/Special Education majors must also take
4. Ohio Assessment for Educators - Early Childhood Special Education - OAE #013
- Tests are computer based assessments.
- Students must register for these tests.
- Scores are sent to both Xavier University (#1965) and the State of Ohio (#7945)

By April 1 Spring Semester of Junior Year
- Assessment of Professional Knowledge Early Childhood - OAE #001

By November 1 Fall Semester of Senior Year
- Early Childhood Education - OAE #012
Immediately following Course EDRE 478
- Foundations of Reading - OAE #090
