Jennifer Powell
Adjunct Professor
After retiring from U.S. Bank as Chief Marketing Officer, I began utilizing my marketing experience as a bank consult and adjunct professor at Xavier University. This resulted in a second Chief Marketing Officer career at First Financial Bank. My CMO experience has afforded me the opportunity to help hone both banks’ strategies as they grew… first with U.S. Bank as we grew from 300 offices to more than 3000 - the 5th largest bank in the United State; and now at First Financial Bank where we are beginning our fourth acquisition in three years. I have continued to teach at Xavier where I thoroughly enjoy spending time with such smart young people and help prepare them to be great business leaders.
I love marketing and business strategy; and have been practicing them my entire career. I continue to utilize these skills to help develop marketing plans and corporate strategies in the for profit and non-profit world.
As a firm believer in work-life balance, I’ve gained a great deal of satisfaction by complimenting my paid roles with non-profit philanthropic work. I’m fortunate to count the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Easterseals Tri State / Building Value, The Greater Cincinnati Foundation, Melanoma Know More, One Source, Artswave and the Haile Foundation, as organizations with which I’ve worked and / or served on the Board of Directors.
I am a proud transplanted Cincinnatian. My husband David and I are the proud parents of Albert and our new daughter in law Jessica, as well as our canine son – Walter, a loveable 85lb golden retriever.
