Urban Native Collective's Indigenous Peoples' Day Convergence

The theme is "Ancestral Visions, Future Dreams," and will reflect the importance of wisdom passed down, highlighting the role of ancestral knowledge in shaping contemporary identities and guiding future generations. Xavier University is a proud sponsor of this event.

Anti-Hate & Inclusion Task Force

Interested in supporting communities on campus impacted by hate or bias? If so, consider joining the Anti-Hate & Inclusion Task Force. The group will meet monthly, and task force members can also take our mediation training to serve as ‘First Responders’ for individuals impacted by anti-hate or bias on campus. The Justice Seekers were identified during the renaming of Justice Hall in 2020, and are on display in the McDonald Library, 1st floor:

Updates and Engagement Opportunities

First Steps

During the summer, the Thrive Center implemented the First Steps program designed for entering students who are First-Generation and all interested students. Enrolled students complete a summer three-credit-hour core course, take GOA as a cohort, and are assigned a faculty mentor.
