Ashley Thompson is from Newnan, GA, southwest of Atlanta, GA. She earned her BS in Geography and Environmental Studies from Western Kentucky University, where she first discovered her passion for working with students in housing and residence life. She then continued this work as a graduate hall director at the University of North Dakota, where she earned her MS in Higher Education. Since then, Ashley has served students through academic advising, peer tutoring and supplemental instruction, as well as teaching and coordinating first-year courses.

In 2025, Ashley transitioned into her role as the Pre-Health Professions Advisor, where she works with students pursuing careers in fields such as medicine, dentistry, physician assistant studies, and other health professions. Her work centers on providing individualized guidance and supporting students through the professional school preparation process, with an emphasis on helping them navigate pathways with confidence and clarity.
