Dual Track Program: Clinical Mental Health Counseling/ School Counseling
This Dual Track Master of Arts program provides students with the comprehensive training needed to qualify for both an Ohio School Counselor license and an Ohio Licensed Clinical Counselor (LCC) license.
The curriculum is rigorous, requiring completion of two separate 600-hour internships: one in a clinical setting and one in a K-12 school setting, along with extensive specialized coursework.
Graduates will receive an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or School Counseling, depending on their primary enrollment track, and will be equipped for a diverse range of professional practice in both educational and clinical environments.
Clinical Mental Health Counseling, M.A.
Students who enroll in the dual track program will receive a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Having successfully completed the dual track program, the student will meet licensure requirement for both an Ohio School Counselor and an Ohio Licensed Clinical Counselor.
Curriculum
To meet state licensure and accreditation requirements, students will be required to take two 600 hour internships, one in clinical counseling in a clinical setting and one in school counseling in a K-12 school setting. Students will also need to complete additional coursework to meet the secondary license requirements
