Lambda Pi Eta Induction

|

On Friday, April 12, 2024, eight new members were inducted into Xavier’s chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association’s official honor society. The society was originally founded in 1985 at the University of Arkansas, and has grown to include more than 500 active chapters at four-year colleges and universities nationwide. The Alpha Gamma Zeta Chapter was chartered at Xavier in 2015.

Lambda Pi Eta recognizes students who are in good standing and have earned a minimum GPA of 3.25 specifically through communication courses, while maintaining an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher upon completion of 60 hours of college credit. The honor society promotes six goals focused on recognizing scholastic achievement, advancing the field of communication, and encouraging professional development and networking.
