Beyond The Classroom Series: Lauren Saltis

Today we're wrapping up our blog series with Lauren Saltis.
Lauren is a senior Advertising Major with a Public Relations Minor from North Canton, OH. In the midst of senior year and a part time job as a Social Media Specialist at eWeb Desingz, Lauren is a Style Guru for CollegeFashionsita. The fashion blog allows people to write about the trends and styles on campuses across the world through the eyes of students.
With an interest in fashion, Lauren was prompted by her roommate who used to write for CollegeFashionista to be part of the community. Soon, Lauren applied and managed to get the internship with CollegeFashionista and was also a brand ambassador for Xavier University. Having the internship meant that she would have the opportunity to capture Xavier's style.
Communication classes like Audience Survey and Research, Public Relations Writing and Writing for The Media, have helped Lauren succeed in her internship and on her blog. She learned how to structure a writing piece and how to check for proper grammar, spelling and punctuation are applied. The most beneficial skill that she picked up from those classes are using the right words to target her audience.
Lauren has had fun writing for CollegeFashionista and you can keep up with her! After graduation, Lauren intends on going to portfolio school to learn the ways of being an exceptional copywriter. We wish her the best of luck!
