14 New Members Inducted into Lamda Pi Eta

On Wednesday, April 13, 2016 the Xavier University Communication Arts department proudly welcomed 14 new members into Xavier University's Alpha Gamma Zeta chapter of Lamda Pi Eta, the National Communication Honors Society.

An induction ceremony joined by family, faculty, and friends is held each spring to celebrate each inductee's academic achievements with a candle lighting service, distribution of pins, certificates of achievement, and distribution of graduation cords for senior Lamda Pi Eta members.

Communication arts students are selected for this high honor based on grade point averages and class rank. To be selected students must earn at least 60 hours of college credit, 12 credit hours in communication courses, 3.25 GPA in communication, and a 3.0 overall GPA by his/her junior year.

Inductees also receive a lifetime membership in Lamda Pi Eta and his/her name on a Lamda Pi Eta Honor Society, Alpha Gamma Zeta plaque placed in the offices of the communication arts department on the third floor of Schott Hall.
