Five Stops on the Route to a Spanish Major

Spanish 202 and 303

Successfully complete Spanish 202 and Spanish 300, your first courses for the Spanish major. If you place in 300, you do not need to take 202.

1 Course

Successfully complete one course between Spanish 302-310. You are beginning your journey toward increasing your Spanish communicative and intercultural competence.

5 Courses

Successfully complete five courses in the range of Spanish 311-399. Though not required for the major, investigate a study abroad option for summer or the semester. Consult with your advisor.

2 Courses

Successfully complete two courses in the range of 400-498 if you started with Spanish 202. If your first course was Spanish 300, successfully complete 3 courses in this range. Have you done an internship or summer research? Ask your advisor about the options.

Senior Thesis

Enroll in Spanish 499. Complete a senior research project and present your project to CML faculty and your peers. Your journey continues, supported by your global engagement experiences, enhanced communication and cultural knowledge and connections.
