Dr. Nathan Fite
Visiting Professor, School of Psychology
Dr. Fite earned his B.A. in Psychology, cum laude, from Cincinnati Christian University and his M.Ed. and Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Cincinnati. He later earned his Master of Health Administration from Cornell University’s Sloan Program in Health Administration.
He completed his APA-accredited predoctoral internship through the Illinois School Psychology Internship Consortium and pursued advanced postdoctoral training in pediatric and clinical psychology at the Anxiety Treatment Center of Greater Chicago and the Kansas City Center for Anxiety Treatment. His specialized training focused on evidence-based assessment and treatment of anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and related emotional and behavioral conditions.
In addition to his academic role, Dr. Fite serves as Managing Director of The Anxiety Center, a multidisciplinary behavioral health organization providing outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, psychiatric, and interventional treatment services. His work focuses on clinical leadership, intensive treatment models, program development, and the dissemination of evidence-based care for anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, and mood disorders.

Research
Dr. Fite’s research and scholarly interests focus on evidence-based interventions for anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder, intensive models of behavioral health treatment, school-based mental health services, applied behavior analysis, and culturally and linguistically responsive assessment and intervention.
His earlier research examined methods for improving reading comprehension and educational access among Spanish-speaking English-language learners. He has also contributed to research involving behavioral consultation, group contingencies, early numeracy instruction, and interventions for students with emotional and behavioral disorders.
