Lieutenant Blankenship joined XUPD in April of 2023. Prior to coming to Xavier, Buddy served the City of Cincinnati as a Police Officer/Police Specialist for 34 years developing extensive experience in patrol, investigations, crisis management, and as a SWAT hostage negotiator. Buddy closed out his career with CPD assigned to the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force and was responsible for coordination and management of federal criminal cases with domestic or international terrorism nexus. Buddy is currently responsible for oversight of training and investigations with XUPD.
