Hugo Biondo
Project Architect
Hugo Biondo joined Xavier University as a Project Architect in March 2026, where he contributes to capital renewal projects and campus planning initiatives. He also teaches architecture design studios as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP).
Hugo began his design education in Caracas, earning a three-year Diploma in Interior Design from the Instituto de Diseño de Caracas in 2006, followed by a five-year professional degree in Architecture from the Universidad Central de Venezuela in 2011. Following his interior design studies, he joined the faculty of the Instituto de Diseño de Caracas, where he taught interior design studios while developing his own professional practice.
After establishing his practice in Caracas, Hugo moved to Miami, FL. in 2015 and became part of the city’s significant development and construction boom, working on large-scale residential, multifamily, and hospitality projects. He later expanded his experience into specialized hospitality design, including leading the design of three signature restaurant concepts aboard Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas.
Today, Hugo combines professional practice, teaching, and architectural project management, bringing a multicultural perspective to his work. His approach to design is grounded in collaboration, design excellence, and the connection between creative vision and thoughtful technical execution.
