Each year the principal faculty in the department of physics select a student to receive the Theodore A. Kent-Bozhidar Kantarjiev Award. This award is presented to a student who completes their first year with highest distinction. The award is not based on student need and consideration is given to a student who works hard to accomplish good grades, shows interest and self-respect.
