Student Research

The value of an undergraduate research experience stems from the professional relationship that develops between a student and faculty mentor as they work toward the solution to a real-world problem. This process allows a student to build upon the knowledge gained in traditional courses in a manner that fosters independence and self-confidence, sharpens critical thinking and communication skills, and provides an important vantage point from which to gauge the merits of a given career path. As such, the undergraduate research experience is an integral part of a student's personal and academic development.
