Mike Wolfkiel

Visiting Faculty

Mike grew up in the Chicago area where he contracted the 'Cubs' virus. He attended Marquette University as an undergraduate and then received an M.A. In philosophy, focusing the sources of human freedom in Thomas Aquinas. He began a Ph. D. Program at Loyola University while he was working full time. After several semesters he left the program to move with his wife and children to Wisconsin, then Ohio, Oklahoma, Arizona, and finally back to Ohio. During those travels he also earned an M.A. In Reading, from Dominican University. He has done extensive work with an education company called The Great Books Foundation, and has invested twelve years as a High School teacher, teaching literature, religion, philosophy, creative writing, and a smattering of improvisation.
