Jason C. White, PhD
Associate Professor, College of Professional Sciences & Director of the Non-Profit Management Program
Dr. Jason C. White is an Associate Professor at Xavier University, where he serves as the founding director of the BA in Non-Profit Management and the Arts Management & Administration minor. His teaching and research focus on identifying innovative strategies for nonprofit leadership, program development and financial sustainability—particularly for organizations led by and serving communities of color.
Dr. White is also the co-founder and lead consultant of WRD Consulting, a research and strategy firm that supports mission-driven organizations through customized consulting, applied research, and collaborative endowment planning. Through WRD, he has led Wallace foundation funded research studies.
An accomplished researcher, educator and scholar, White is a published author in Artivate: A Journal of Entrepreneurship in the Arts, Journal of Arts Entrepreneurship Education, Journal of Arts Management, Law and Society, American Journal of Arts Management, Innovative Higher Education, and Arts Education Policy Review. In addition, White is the author of the book Innovation in the Arts: Concepts, Theories and Practices, a Routledge publication in the Global Creative Economy series.
Dr. White brings over 20 years of experience in higher education, nonprofit consulting, and artistic leadership. He is a multi-disciplinary artist, Social Science Research Council fellow, sought-after speaker, author, and facilitator, known for blending academic rigor with real life experience and practitioner insight.
