Projected Heritage: The Seasons/The Exhibition is a groundbreaking multimedia recital that unites piano performance, projection design, installation art, and immersive sculpture. Centered on Tchaikovsky's The Seasons and Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, the program reimagines these masterworks through the interplay of music, visual art, and cultural heritage.
Projected Heritage features pianist Dr. Polina Bespalko, with holographic 3D sculptures and dynamic projections by illustrator and visual artist Ian Hayes.
A reception will follow the performance, featuring traditional Russian fare provided by Pelmeni Boy, part of Cincinnati's beloved Pickled Pig Restaurant. Guests are invited to remain in the installation space to engage with the artists and reflect on the evening's experience.
This event is free and open to the public, but space is limited. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and guests are welcome to tour the Contemporary Arts Center galleries prior to the performance.
Piano for this performance is generously provided by Solich Piano.
This event is made possible through the support of the Rockwern Charitable Foundation.
