Ignatian Fellows Program
The Ignatian Fellows Program is a program for incoming first-year students who exemplify the Jesuit Catholic mission of Xavier University. These students show their commitment to the intersection of faith, service, social justice and solidarity with the poor during their high school careers and wish to continue it in their time in university. The award will offer students the opportunity to engage more deeply in faith formation, social justice, leadership, and community engagement that will support their development as men and women for others.
Consideration for the program is reserved for incoming first-year students, including out-of-state and international students. Ignatian Fellows Program participants will be awarded a scholarship that is renewable annually for students who remain in good standing with Xavier University and complete program requirements.
Program Requirements
In order to maintain good standing as an Ignatian Fellow, students must:
- Complete a minimum of 20 hours of service per semester through the X-Change service program.
- Participate in at least one CFJ-sponsored retreat each year.
- Maintain status as a full-time enrolled student in good standing.
- Participate in a sponsored cohort formation dinner each semester.
Application and Selection
No separate application is required; eligibility is automatically determined by the interest indicated on the standard application.
