Doug brings over 30 years as an information technology professional working in higher education, telecommunications, and government contracting. His career at Xavier started in Fall 2004 in Application Services as the Portal Systems Administrator for the MyXU portal. During his time with Application Services, he led the effort to integrate Banner, MyXU, and Blackboard. In 2007, he moved to the Web Services department where he continued his portal work and took on the management of Microsoft SQL Server at Xavier. In 2011, he switched back to Application Services as a Senior Database Administrator to manage all of Xavier's SQL Server infrastructure as well as assist in the management of the critical reporting and analytics systems. In 2020, he moved to Institutional Research, managing Xavier's data warehouse and analytics platforms. In 2026, he transitioned into his current role where he leads Xavier's business intelligence efforts and manages the design and implementation of our data lake/warehouse infrastructure.
Doug has worked with a wide variety of platforms including Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Tableau, Snowflake, and database architecture & design.
