Paul Hiltz, FACHE, MHA
Keynote Speaker

Paul Hiltz is President and CEO of NCH (Naples Comprehensive Health) in Naples, Florida. NCH is a nonprofit Advanced Community Healthcare System™ serving Southwest Florida with premier routine, critical and specialty care.

Since joining NCH Paul has developed collaborations and partnerships with Encompass for inpatient rehabilitation, HSS for orthopedics, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital for pediatrics, Northwestern Medicine for oncology and ProScan Imaging for radiology services, ensuring top-tier medical care is available in Southwest Florida.

NCH is recognized as one of Healthgrades America’s Top 100 Hospitals and a Top 50 Hospital for Surgical Care. NCH provides fellowship and Graduate Medical Education opportunities, participates in national clinical trials and collaborates with health market leaders.

Prior to joining NCH in 2019, Paul served as the President and CEO of multiple hospitals and medical centers.

Mark Clement
Panelist

Mark C. Clement is the President and Chief Executive Officer of TriHealth, a position he has held since January 1, 2016. Prior to being named President and CEO, Mark served as President of TriHealth since May 2015. Mark joined TriHealth from Rochester (NY) General Health System, where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer, as well as President of Rochester General Hospital (RGHS). Mr. Clement’s more than 27 years of experience in hospital administration includes an eight year stint as President and CEO of Holy Cross Hospital in Chicago, where he led Holy Cross to be a nationally recognized, growing, community-based health system, recognized by Hospitals magazine as Great Comeback Hospital of the Year; by Arthur Andersen, and Fortune magazine as the winner of the International Enterprise Award for Best Business Practices in Customer Service. Mr. Clement’s commitment to getting healthcare right for patients, staff and providers, as well as improving the communities he serves, is evidenced by his expansive history as a healthcare executive. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Clement earned his undergraduate degree and a Masters (MHHA) from Xavier University, in Cincinnati.

Steven Halm, D.O., FAAP, FACP, FACOI, HPF
Panelist

Dr. Halm received his undergraduate degree from Allegheny College in PA and his medical degree in Philadelphia. He then completed a four-year combined Internal Medicine and Pediatric residency at Penn State University's Hershey Medical Center and Children's Hospital in 1993 as part of their inaugural Med/Peds program.

He has maintained board certification by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics for over thirty years. He has served as a hospital chief of staff and medical staff leader while providing inpatient and outpatient neonatal and primary care services to children and adult patients while operating a multi-specialty group practice near Greensboro, NC until 2013.

Since his start in full time academic medicine over a decade ago, he developed a formal professionalism and leadership training program for medical students and residents where he directly shares his medical leadership experiences while he was in practice.

Dr. Halm is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists.

Deborah (Debbie) Hayes, RN, MS, MSN, MBI, MBA, NEA-BC

Debbie Hayes has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of The Christ Hospital Health Network, an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 15 counties across Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky with nearly 7000 employees and 1200 providers since October of 2020. She has more than 30 years of progressive management and leadership roles, is board certified as a nursing executive and is a tireless advocate for advancing safety, quality, and affordability in healthcare. After graduating from The Christ Hospital School of Nursing in 1989, Debbie started her career as a critical care nurse at TCHHN where over the past 35 years has held several progressive leadership roles as a Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist, Director of Critical Care, Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Information Officer, Chief Hospital Officer, and Chief Operating Officer. Debbie is an active community leader, having served or currently serving on several boards and advisory committees including Mount Notre Dame High School, United Way, Artswave, REDI, Cincinnati Regional Chamber of Commerce, American Heart Association, American Hospital Association, Ohio Hospital Association, LifeCenter, Matthew 25 and Trinity Health. She also served on Xavier University’s Nursing Advisory Board and Northern Kentucky University’s Nursing Advisory Board.
