Data Science Honors Program

Xavier’s Data Science Honors program is an interdisciplinary effort of the Departments of Business Analytics and Information Systems, Computer Science, and Mathematics. This cohort-based honors program introduces the analytical and real-world need for data science. Students accepted into this program will be challenged to apply their knowledge in ways that serve the community and address issues in society through an integrative curriculum.

Students pursuing their Honors Bachelor of Science in Data Science can expect to be immersed in courses in computer science, mathematics, and statistics. The comprehensive academic plan will give strong STEM students the computational and analytical skills needed to build models and tools in data science. Admitted students to this program will engage in specific experiences and will apply acquired skills on projects that incorporate community-engaged learning with intentional reflection on ethics and privacy.
