Councils

Xavier University's sorority and fraternity life community consists of three governing councils: the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), Interfraternity Council (IFC), and Unity Greek Council (UGC).
Together, these councils support a vibrant community that promotes leadership, service, academic excellence, and lifelong friendship. While each council has its own unique structure, their missions align with Xavier University's commitment to developing individuals who lead, serve, and make meaningful contributions to their communities.

Standards of Xcellence - Accreditation Program

Beginning in Spring 2027, all recognized sororities and fraternities at Xavier University will participate in the Standards of Excellence Program. Grounded in Xavier's Jesuit mission and values, this framework promotes chapter success through leadership development, service, community engagement, personal growth, and accountability.
Through intentional programming, meaningful reflection, collaborative partnerships, and a commitment to academic and personal excellence, organizations will demonstrate how they embody the principles of Service Rooted in Justice and Love, Solidarity & Kinship, Magis, Reflection & Discernment, and Cura Personalis.
The Standards of Excellence Program serves as both a roadmap and a measure of organizational achievement, helping chapters create positive and lasting impacts on their members, the Xavier community, and beyond.
