GSA Initiative Fund

New for the 2025-2026 school year, the Graduate Student Association is proud to create a GSA Initiative Fund. This fund's purpose is to offer opportunity for graduate students to gather in community with each other and focuses on Cura Personalis, or care of the whole person.

Eligibility Requirements: The proposal must be an opportunity accessible to any graduate student enrolled at Xavier, and satisfy a minimum of two (2) of the below criteria. Proposals should also not duplicate efforts of existing organizations or departments within the University community.

NOTES:
● The maximum award is $500, but that does not mean that every accepted proposal will receive the full award. 
● Graduate programs currently receiving funding through the graduate student activities fund are ineligible to receive from this fund.
● Individual students are not eligible for this award, but this is more focused on bringing groups of students together.

Programming criteria: Proposals must satisfy a minimum of two of the criteria below
● Supports the holistic development of attendees, including mind, body and spirit.
● Provides opportunity for attendees to learn and/or explore a new concept, tradition, culture, etc.
● Works to elevate or promote the mental well-being of attendees.
● Provides professional development opportunities in the form of networking, skill building, or other means.
● Is a collaboration with an existing campus unit or department, providing support to graduate students.
● Encourages social engagement and interaction among students not otherwise available.
● Aligns with and embraces the Jesuit mission of Xavier University, and/or the mission of GSA.
