Frequently Asked Questions - Day One Program

The Day One Program provides all required materials to undergraduate enrolled students. After course registration, your list is sent to the Barnes & Noble team for digital delivery and/or pickup.

The program includes all required course materials assigned by the faculty including: printed textbooks, digital textbooks, and other course wears depending on your program. 

Non-required materials (recommended textbooks) and consumables such as lab goggles, dissection kits, and nursing kits.

After Fall 2024, all undergraduate will see a $250 itemized book fee per semester on their Bursar bill. 

Yes! Students see a 30 - 50% savings versus purchasing required materials at retail prices.

 


The opt-out window opens 30 days before the start of the academic calendar semester start and closes the first Friday of the academic semester. After an opt-out is approved, a credit will be issued (where applicable) on the student Bursar bill. Please note: This process can take up two 14 business days to complete.

No, students who opt-out will opt-out for all classes for the entire academic semester.

Charges remain until requests are processed and accounts credited after the opt-out period ends as per the Academic Calendar.

You may opt back into the Day One program if you made a mistake. Opting back in takes place during the opt-out window (30 prior to the start of the academic semester and ends on the first Friday of the academic semester calendar).

If you opt-out for one semester, the Day One program automatically re-enrolls you during the next semester as your class load will be different. If you select to opt-out for future semester, you must follow the opt-out process every time. For more information, click here.

If you opt-out of the Day One program once you pick up the printed course materials, you must return ALL materials to the All For One Shop at University Station within 7 calendar days. PLEASE NOTE: Failure to return materials will result in a non-return fee placed on your Bursar account.
