Medical Student Services
Medical Student Services (MSS) is here to walk alongside you as you become a compassionate healthcare professional dedicated to serving others. MSS supports all XUCOM students, in both the MABS and D.O. programs, outside the classroom and the clinic. That support covers your studies, your health, and your life as part of the XUCOM community.
What We Do
- Learning Support: Our learning specialist works individually with students on study strategies, time management, and exam preparation, so they can adjust to the pace of medical school and build habits that last through boards.
- Compliance: We help students understand and keep up with requirements such as immunizations/vaccinations, background checks, and drug screens for clinical training, so nothing stands in the way of their progress.
- Mental and physical health: Students have access to confidential counseling and health services, and we work to connect them with the right resources for their overall well-being.
- Student organizations: We support students in getting involved with organizations that match their interests, whether that’s a specialty, a shared identity, service, or leadership. As our inaugural class arrives, students will have the opportunity to help establish XUCOM’s first student organizations and shape these communities from the ground up.
