College Leadership
MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN

Welcome to the College of Health and Human Sciences at Xavier University!
In the College of Health and Human Sciences (CHHS), our commitment to exceptional teaching and mentoring drives us. We focus on scholarship and service in a variety of fields that make a direct and meaningful impact on others. We intentionally strive to create a learning experience that supports all students, incorporates a broad range of perspectives, and fosters an environment of belongingness. In alignment with Xavier's Jesuit Catholic mission and Statement of Purpose to "form students who change the world for the better," we are united across our diverse areas by the shared mission of changing human lives for the better.
CHHS is a vibrant community of more than 100 accomplished faculty, staff, and administrators, and more than 1,400 students across 13 undergraduate majors and 19 master's and doctoral programs. Our dedication to academic and inclusive excellence is reflected in our nationally-accredited programs and challenging curricula. We ensure that our graduates are well-prepared to lead, serve, and champion equity in their communities with the expertise and skills to succeed in their chosen profession, and where applicable, to obtain professional licensure. CHHS is a leader in experiential learning: 100% of undergraduate and graduate programs require hands-on, real-world learning such as field placements, internships, research experiences, and clinical opportunities.
In addition to our degree offerings, in the College of Health and Human Sciences we actively engage in serving the Cincinnati area both directly and through more than 150 community partnerships. We advance scientific knowledge through research in our scholarly disciplines, and we collaborate on interprofessional education initiatives. Our work reflects Xavier’s commitment to cura personalis by equipping students to be servant-leaders who are critical thinkers, ethical decision-makers, and have a strong sense of purpose.
I invite you to explore all that the College of Health and Human Sciences at Xavier University has to offer and encourage you to reach out to us to learn more about how you can find your community through one of our thriving programs.
All for One!
