The Summer Program in Rome is a five-week long international experience that combines six credits of academic work with cultural excursions both in Rome and beyond. The first group of nine students studied in Rome in the summer of 1997. Typically, the summer group averages around 35 to 40 students.

WHERE: students are housed at the John Felice Rome Center of Loyola Chicago, a full service American campus abroad.

THE JOHN FELICE ROME CENTER OF LOYOLA UNIVERSITY (JFRC): Students are housed at Loyola's campus in a quiet residential area of Rome. The current facility offers all of the amenities of an American campus abroad. Residential as well as classroom space are housed at the facility, as are library and wifi internet facilities, a business office, food and laundry service, ATM, and around the clock security. A Residence Life Assistant is on duty 24 hours a day. The neighborhood is full of cafes, shops, restaurants and pizzerias in easy walking distance. Visit their website at: http://www.luc.edu/rome
