Anna Wiley

My name is Anna Wiley and I am a graduate of the HAB Class of 2013. I am currently a second year medical student at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.

While being challenged in the HAB program, I also minored in philosophy and natural science in order to take the prerequisites for medical school. Studying Latin and Greek taught me how to interact intimately with material, a lesson that allowed me to be successful in other disciplines, including in medical school. I attribute my acceptance into the University of Cincinnati's ROSE Program to my rigorous HAB education. Beyond learning good study habits, I also received an education in the humanities that keeps me grounded to the importance of the patient in any disease process.

My experiences in the HAB program were easily some of the most challenging and rewarding to this day. There is a closeness that comes with going through difficulties with others; I am forever grateful for my experiences in the program as it has given me some of my very best friends, while training me for a lifetime of learning.
