Dan Larkin

Rev. Dan W. Larkin, Jr., serves as the director of the Xavier University Gospel Choir at the Dorothy Day Center for Faith and Ministry. He has been involved in gospel ministry for over 40 years. As a musician, he is highly respected both locally and nationally, having conducted numerous music workshops and served as a Minister of Music and a sought-after clinician. He has worked with gospel greats such as the late Dr. Charles Fold, Dottie Peoples, and Donald Lawrence. He is a songwriter as well as the executive producer of the album, Come into the House, performed by the Southern Baptist Mass Choir. He was one of three local ministers of music who led the choir of Opera Goes to Church.
Currently, he serves as the senior pastor of the Southern Baptist Church (Cincinnati, OH), a music teacher for the Cincinnati Public Schools, a member of the Pastoral Alliance of National Convention of Gospel Choirs and Choruses, and as one of the Administrative Assistants in the Academic Division of the Gospel Music Workshop of America Administrative. He remains devoted to the preservation of gospel music and training the next generation of choir leaders and musicians.
