Musketeer Career Accelerator
The Musketeer Career Accelerator (MCA) is a new program from the Career Development Office designed specifically for exploratory students (both undeclared and declared; Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors) to pause, reflect, and take intentional steps toward their futures.
It is for those students who are still exploring their major or are uncertain about their career path. I know that figuring out what’s next can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone.
This program gives you the space to reflect, the tools to explore, and the support to start moving toward a future that feels right for you.
If selected, you will:
- Participate in a Fall Break retreat focused on your values, strengths, and goals
- Join small-group career labs during the semester designed to help you explore options and take action
- Early access, guided support in selecting and connecting with a professional mentor
- Build a personalized career plan with guidance from professionals and peers
Sometimes the journey is not about having all the answers; it is about asking the right questions with the right people beside you, starting with Who do you want to become?
Along the way, you will also receive
- Meals during career lab session
- Xavier swag
- Certificate of completion and/or a digital badge to post on your LinkedIn profile
- Letter of Recommendation from a CDO staff member upon request
- Students who actively engage and complete will be considered for a $500 scholarship award
Please note: Scholarship eligibility is determined by Student Financial Services and may vary based on your financial aid package. If awarded, the scholarship may be applied directly to your student account or reduce existing aid, depending on your individual cost of attendance. Not all participants will be eligible to receive the full award. If you have questions about how a scholarship award would affect your aid, please reach out to Student Financial Services before applying.
If this sounds like something you would benefit from and would be excited to do, I invite you will apply. Space is limited to just 10 students.
Applications are currently closed. If you have questions on how to get involved, please contact a staff member from our office.
