Tuition Insurance Premium/Waiver
***If you waive Tuition Insurance in the Fall 2022 semester you do not need to waive the coverage again for Spring 23 semester***
Xavier offers all students tuition insurance provided by AWG Dewar. The premium is automatically charged when students register at a rate of $205 per semester for undergraduates and $53 per semester for graduates. The Tuition Refund Program (TRP) insurance will cover up to 85% of tuition and mandatory fees for any student who might suffer a serious illness or accident and has the need to take a medical leave before the semester is completed. Room and Board are not covered. To waive coverage, visit the tuition insurance waiver website. Waiver submission is due by 11:59pm (ET) on September 6, 2023. Waivers submitted after this date are not accepted. The premium credit will post 2-3 business days after the waiver is approved. For students who wish to keep the coverage, no action is required. If you waived coverage in the Fall 2023 semester and would like to have coverage for Spring 2024, please notify the Office of the Bursar at XUBursar@xavier.edu.

If you are a student who is taking a medical leave, you will need to complete these documents for the tuition waiver process.
Fill out the following forms:
1) a Course Registration Drop/Add form withdrawing you from all of your classes.
2) a college form to be filled out by Xavier Staff
3) a college medical withdrawal certificate to be filled out by your treatment team.
Drop Form: Please sign the form where it says student signature, add your current phone number and the date. Please add all your classes and CRN numbers to the document. You drop it off or scan and e-mail this item back to the appropriate academic dean. Your academic dean will forward the form to the Registrar's Office for processing. College Medical Withdraw Certificate, Medical Staff: Please fill out the top portion of this form and then have one of your treatment team members fill out the bottom portion of the form and mail this directly to AWG Dewar for processing. The address is on the documentation.
College Medical Drop Form, Xavier Staff: Please fill out the top portion of this form and then scan and e-mail/drop this item back to your academic dean. Your academic dean will forward this for processing in the Bursar's Office and the Bursar will mail the form directly to AWG Dewar for processing.
