Holly Kaminski

Senior Teaching Professor, Business Analytics & Information Systems

Holly Kaminski first joined Xavier University in 2003 and is currently a Senior Teaching Professor in the Department of Business Analytics & Information Systems. She has taught in all four corners of the university, starting as an adjunct instructor teaching a graduate-level research methods courses to K-12 teachers in the College of Professional Sciences. In 2009, she began full time in the College of Arts & Sciences where she taught calculus, functions, college algebra, math education and statistics, while also teaching an intro stats course specifically for the College of Nursing. Today, her focus is on business analytics and statistics courses in the Williams College of Business.

 

Prior to her academic career, Holly worked in IT consulting at PwC where she successfully managed several project teams through all stages of the information technology development lifecycle project as well as trained diverse audiences in both technical software and soft skills (such as the basics of consulting, presentation skills, team building and interviewing). Her project teams of up to 35 people located around the world were for clients such as Procter & Gamble, JCPenney, Ford, Ameritech, BHP Petroleum, and Lexis-Nexis. These projects spanned a range of topics including a data analytics effort for segmenting and better managing customers at a cellular company, to a general ledger, accounts payable and capital management system for a consumer products company, to an internal knowledge management effort for a global PeopleSoft practice.

 

Outside of Xavier, Holly enjoys time with her family - husband Mike, son Andrew, daughter Natalie, and their adorable dog Luna (a Coton de Tulear breed). She is very crafty and loves to travel, walk, bike, read, cook and play cards, volleyball, and golf.
