The Cincinnati Insurance Companies’
Putting People First Scholarship
Purpose:
The Cincinnati Insurance Companies’ Putting People First Scholarship Program is designed to support motivated and talented Xavier University students that demonstrate dedication to service. This scholarship aims to empower the next generation of professionals who drive innovation and strategic decision-making, and display empathy in their interactions.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate business-related program at Xavier University (one student will be selected per academic year, freshman through senior)
- Maintains a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Demonstrates leadership potential, dedication to providing quality service and putting other people first
Scholarship Benefits:
- One-time $500 deposit to your bursar account
- Exclusive networking opportunities with insurance industry professionals
- Access to career development resources specific to insurance-related careers
How to Apply:
Submit your application to Professor Karen Eutsler via email (eutslerk@xavier.edu) by October 16, 2026 with:
- A copy of your resume
- A personal essay (no more than 500 words) based on one of these prompts:

- We find importance in doing the right thing, even when others are not looking. Please provide an example of a time when you did the right thing, even when it may not have been popular amongst others.
