Student Research Award Nominations

The Undergraduate Research Advisory Board invite nominations for the annual Xavier Undergraduate Research (XUR) award. This award will be given to a graduating senior who has demonstrated an excellent track record of participation in research throughout their time at Xavier.

In nominating students, the broadest definition of research and creative activity is encouraged. The winner of the XUR award will be selected by the Undergraduate Research Advisory Board from a pool of nominated students.

The major criterion for the award is extensive participation in undergraduate research which might include but is not limited to:

  • Participation in multiple research experiences for short periods or a single research experience over several years.
  • A commitment to a career that involves the area of research or creative activity in which the student was an active contributor.
  • Co-authored publication of research articles.
  • Presentation of research or creative activities at local, regional and/or national meetings.

The deadline to submit nominations for the 2024 Award is Monday, January 15th.
