Grant Details
Below you will find additional details related to grant opportunities at Xavier.
- Only students who are admitted to Xavier as new, full-time, bachelor's degree-seeking freshmen or transfers for the fall semester are eligible for additional grants. Examples of grant opportunities include (but are not limited to): Visit Grant, Muskie Grant or Catholic identity grants.
- You can only receive the Visit Grant once for an official campus visit with the Office of Undergraduate Admission or by attending an XU Preview admitted student day.
- Unless otherwise stated, grants are renewable for up to four years while an undergraduate student at Xavier (ex. a $1,000 grant would be worth $4,000 across four years).
- Grant opportunities can be stacked on top of any merit-based scholarships a student receives and will go toward the cost of tuition or housing (as is indicated by the grant name).
- Housing grants can only be applied toward on-campus housing costs. If a student is not living on campus, the grant will be rescinded. All remaining grants cannot exceed the cost of tuition.
- Study abroad grants are to be used in the semester of a student’s study abroad program. Only one study abroad grant can be used per study abroad program, regardless of the duration of the program.
