Summer in Cincy: Pre-College Program for High School Students
Summer in Cincy: Pre-College Program for High School Students offers rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors a one-of-a-kind opportunity to experience life as a Xavier Musketeer. For one week, participants will live in the residence halls, dine in the campus dining commons, and explore Cincinnati through field trips to local landmarks and a professional sporting event. Each day includes dynamic mini-courses led by Xavier faculty, skills development to ace college applications, and small group discussions time giving students a taste of academic and student life while building new skills and connections. Blending college immersion with city adventure, this program is the perfect way to discover Xavier University and envision your future as a Musketeer and Cincinnatian.
During the program you will have the choice to dive into one of four engaging academic tracks:
- Building a Sustainable Future: Government & the Public’s Roles
- Defending the Digital World: Cybersecurity Foundations
- Nursing: Meeting a Public Health Need Near and Far
- Better Business: Business Innovations Powering our Future
Led by Xavier faculty, these hands-on courses are designed to help spark curiosity, discover your passions, and the best part? All course will have a field trip to connect with our great city.
Beyond the classroom, you will:
- Eat in our dining hall
- Attend daily seminars on real-world topics
- Participate in application bootcamps
- Sleep in the residence halls
- Connect with the city of Cincinnati
- Meet additional faculty, and connect with other high school students
