Deepening the Apostolic Preferences at Xavier

A Discernment Group

On Feb. 19, 2019, the Jesuit Superior General, Rev. Arturo Sosa, S.J., announced four priorities for the Society of Jesus for the next decade: spirituality/discernment, the poor and outcast, young people, earth care.

As one of Xavier’s strategic goals, a group of 22 faculty and staff discerned on each of the Priorities and brainstormed ways to deepen Xavier’s expression of each resulting in a strategic proposal (one of the President's Annual Goals).

This opportunity, facilitated by Drs. Tom Strunk and Debra Mooney,  fulfilled the criteria to be a Province Ignatian Educator of Distinction.
