Cincinnati City Hall

As Government Relations Director, Sean Rhiney leverages his legal expertise, his deep knowledge of Xavier, and his extensive networks across Cincinnati, Ohio, and the AJCU, to represent Xavierand forge the relationships across all levels of government. Xavier's Government Relations Office provides advice and analysis on government affairs to the university’s academic and administrative leaders and represents the university to external audiences on issues related to public policy, as well as state and federal funding opportunities.

Our office also collaborates with other University offices to promote and foster a culture of Ignatian civic engagement with our students, faculty, and staff.
