The Financial Systems team supports Xavier’s Finance and Administration Division which includes:

OUR GOAL

The goal of the Financial Systems team is to improve financial systems and business processes ensuring Best Practices using Lean, Six Sigma and Project Management methodologies. We serve as the liaison between Finance and Administration and other key University areas such as the Provost Office and Institutional Research as well as the broader campus user community.

WHAT WE DO

This team helps to:

  • Standardize the use of our Financial Systems, Processes and Procedures (eliminating waste and increasing automation)
  • Resolve issues related to Financial Applications, Interfaces and Reports
  • Focus on proactive rather than retrospective improvement strategies
  • Provide leadership support for the evaluation and implementation of new or existing applications, interfaces, upgrades and enhancements
  • Bring innovative solutions and support initiatives campus-wide
  • Utilize existing system and university resources to its fullest capabilities
  • Empower end users by providing meaningful and actionable data for decision making
  • Monitor and ensure data integrity as the Finance Data Custodian

It is important to note that even though we engaged with specific departments to make improvements through the projects listed above, each positively impacted ALL benefit eligible employees and most Banner users.
