Drawing on her experiences teaching digital humanities and digital pedagogy courses, Roopika Risam will share practices and approaches to digital literacy. She will address a range of concerns that professors typically raise about teaching with technology, such as the speed at which platforms change, dealing with the limits of their own technological knowledge and comfort, and assessing digital products that students create. A mix of theoretical and practical, this talk will examine both why it’s useful to integrate digital literacy education into courses and how to get started.
