X-Change

The X-CHANGE Weekly Service Program provides an action-oriented entry point for volunteers to engage in the Cincinnati community through weekly service and reflection that encourages students to think critically and pursue social justice as people for and with others.

Alternative Breaks

During Fall and Spring Break, Alternative Breaks sends students to various locations across the country and abroad to tackle injustice through education, direct service, and reflection that moves everyone closer to lifelong active citizenship.

IFTJ

Ignatian Family Teach In for Justice is an annual gathering for members of Jesuit institutions including high schools, universities, parishes, and other organizations to come together in the context of social justice and solidarity to learn, reflect, pray, network, and advocate together.

Sustainability

Xavier Student Sustainability (XSS) provides students with the opportunities to create tangible changes on Xavier University's campus in relation to environmental sustainability issues.

Community Action Day

Xavier University’s largest service experience held once per semester, Community Action Day (CAD) invites Xavier students, faculty, staff, and alumni to step off campus to learn from, grow with, and serve the communities surrounding our university.

Go Deeper

Dorothy Day Immersion (DDI)

Dorothy Day Immersions (DDI) provide students short-term opportunities to live, work, and reflect at the margins. Each experience challenges participants to understand their role in seeking justice in the world, build authentic community amidst difference, and engage their unique spirituality. Each group, no matter where they travel, examines racial justice, economic disparity, and faiths that do justice.

Summer Service Internship (SSI)

The Summer Service Internship (SSI) is a paid summer internship for 20 students to serve full-time at local non-profit organizations and live in community on campus.
