Accept an employer rejection graciously. You never know when another terrific opportunity from that employer might come along. Keep the lines of communication open.
If you are anxious to work for the company, ask them to keep your application on file in case a position opens that better matches your qualifications.
Close by again expressing appreciation for the time that was spent considering you for the job.
