This page will provide information about the available alerts and kudos in EAB Navigate and what happens when an alert is submitted.
Alert: Attendance
Description: Student's attendance pattern has changed. Their lack of attendance is concerning and is impacting their course grade.
Who is assigned this alert: Grad Student Success; Care and Support; Affinity Groups (SAASS, Vets, TRiO, International, Commuter Services Advisor, THR1VE)
What is their response/what action is expected: Assigned staff reaches out to student to check in (text/email) within one business day
Does the student receive an automated message: No
Is this alert always available: Yes
Does this open a case: Yes
Alert: Kudos-Exemplary Work
Description: Recognize student for their exemplary course work. You can also utilize this if the student is engaged and participates regularly.
Who is assigned this alert: Academic Advisor, SAASS, Grad Success
What is their response/what action is expected: Automated email is sent to the student to recognize their good work.
Does the student receive an automated message: Yes - Student receives customized email that includes the course name and number and kudos
Is this alert always available: Yes
Does this open a case: No
Alert: Deficient grades
Description: Student has poor grades, but is currently passign the course.
Who is assigned this alert: Academic Advisor, SAASS, Grad Success
What is their response/what action is expected: Academic advisor will reach out to the student within 2 business days.
Does the student receive an automated message: Yes - Student receives customized email that includes the course name and number as well as information about resources

Does this open a case: Yes
Alert: Missing Assignments
Description: Student has missing assignment(s). It would be helpful to include a comment about if the student still can (or cannot) submit the assignments.
Who is assigned this alert: Academic Advisor, SAASS, Grad Success
What is their response/what action is expected: Academic advisor will reach out to the student within 2 business days.

Alert: Currently failing, but potential to pass
Description: Student is currently failing the class, but there is a chance they can turn things around.
Who is assigned this alert: Academic Advisor, SAASS, Grad Success
What is their response/what action is expected: Academic advisor will reach out to the student within 2 business days.

Alert: Recommend the student withdraws from the class
Description: Student is struggling in class (either due to academic or personal reasons) and the professor recommends they withdraw from the class
Who is assigned this alert: Academic Advisor, SAASS, Grad Success
What is their response/what action is expected: Academic advisor will reach out to the student within 1 business day to have a strategic conversation about course options.

Alert: Recommend tutoring or Supplemental Instruction (SI)
Description: Faculty/staff wants student to utilize tutoring/supplemental instruction
Who is assigned this alert: Stephanie Daniels
What is their response/what action is expected: Office of Academic Support will outreach to the student to encourage them to access resources.
Does the student receive an automated message: Yes - Student receives customized email with information on how to access resources

Alert: Possible Transfer or Withdraw from the University
Description: Student indicates they do not plan to return for the following semester.
Who is assigned this alert: Care Manager (and Angie Kneflin and Chelsea Benton)
What is their response/what action is expected: Assigned staff will follow up with student within 2 business days.

Alert: Referral-Academic Advising
Description: Faculty/staff wants to refer students to their academic advisor or student has advising questions.
Who is assigned this alert: OALS email
What is their response/what action is expected: Close the case if addressed. If it should be referred, OALS will make the referral and add the person to the case.

Alert: Referral- Graduate Student Success
Description: Faculty/staff wants student to connect with Grad Success
Who is assigned this alert: Grad Student Success
What is their response/what action is expected: Assigned staff will outreach to student to schedule an appointment within two business days, start with email and follow up with text.

Alert: Graduate Student Stop Out
Description: Student indicates they are taking time off but plan to return in a future semester.
Who is assigned this alert: Grad Student Success
What is their response/what action is expected: Assigned staff will outreach to student to meet within one business day via text (if alert signifies when they plan to return, no meeting needed & follow stop out tag process. Add note to EAB when they plan to return)
