What Is Feminism?
Many of the programs and events throughout Women's History Month are meant to support, remember, celebrate, and empower the women around us. In doing that, we often times hear the idea of feminism as a grounding point for our actions. Feminism can mean different things to different people depending on their race, class, sexual orientation, culture, or other social identities, but generally speaking, it is typically refers to the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes. In the spirit of reflection and discernment, consider these the responses of the word "feminism" below.
