Placement Test Information

Take your Language Placement Test

Once you begin the test you must complete it. You may only take this placement test once.

If you have taken more than one language in high school then you should take the placement test for the language you will study at Xavier.

If you have taken another language in high school which is not offered for testing here, you do not need to take any modern languages placement test.

You should consult with your academic advisor or an advisor in the department of Modern Languages for any questions related to language placement or requirements.

You should take the test in the language you studied in high school even if you plan to study a different language at Xavier.

Take your Mathematics Placement Test

Xavier University uses the ALEKS Placement Assessment to determine your Mathematics placement. ALEKS covers material from Basic Math through Precalculus and will take approximately 90 minutes to complete.

This is a test you cannot fail. The results will be used to place you at the appropriate level of mathematics. For more information, please consult with your admission counselor or academic advisor.
