Scout Robot on Xavier University's campus

Xavier brings next-gen robot to campus through first-of-its-kind partnership with Campus Innovation and REVOBOTS

Mar 2, 2026

The University is partnering with advanced robotics company REVOBOTS and C-Park enforcement platform, Campus Innovation, to enhance the campus experience through TASKBOT SCOUT XT, REVOBOTS’ autonomous technology carrying a wide range of use cases. Xavier is the first higher education institution to featuring an extensively 3D-printed design and differentiates itself through its expansive applications.

“Through this partnership, we strengthen Xavier’s standing as a leader in innovation while setting the stage for an even stronger campus experience for our Musketeers,” said Bill Moran, Senior Director of Auxiliary Services. “This technology will enable us to provide more services to students and make for a more seamless way to capitalize on campus amenities."

Currently in its testing phase, the robot operates using a human-in-the-loop model, which pairs AI-powered technology with human oversight and feedback to ensure safety and reliability. Over the next several years, the University will gradually expand the use of TASKBOT solutions across campus - including parking services, food and mail delivery, campus safety and much more.

As a first-of-its-kind partnership, this technology opportunity is coming at no cost to the University. The technology will be used to expand campus services and support University personnel; it will not replace any positions on campus.

“From day one, SCOUT XT was built for rapid deployment in real campus environments,” said Dr. Giby Raphael, CEO and Co-Founder of REVOBOTS. “Our focus is simple: deliver practical automation that supports university teams, expands service capacity and integrates cleanly with the systems they already trust.”

Students with career ambitions in AI or robotics also stand to benefit from Xavier’s partnership with REVOBOTS, which will include job opportunities for students and opportunities to engage with the company and its technology in the classroom. Raphael and Auxiliary Services have already visited a few innovation and AI classes on campus to discuss SCOUT XT and the future innovation on campus.

The partnership with REVOBOTS underlies Xavier’s broader emphasis on innovation, which earned the University recognition as one of U.S. News and World Report’s Most Innovative Universities for 2026. Xavier is one of only four universities across Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky awarded this distinction, along with Ohio State University, Purdue University and the University of Notre Dame.

This fall, Xavier launched a new artificial intelligence major, designed to educate the future leaders who will shape the future of technology with integrity and compassion, in alignment with the University’s mission of serving the greater good.
