2020-21

  • Achievement Highlights - During fall semester, the 20-21 UX Group members brainstormed ideas to help students feel comfortable in the library during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their efforts helped pave the way for the library's submission of a second Library Services and Technology Act Grant from the State Library of Ohio for more mobile dividers. The group's advise also initiated a treat bag giveaway during spring finals week. During spring semester the group administered a photo-typing user experience test and began an in-depth study of "the library of the future" in order to contribute to the plans for a McDonald Library renovation.

2019-20

  • Achievement Highlights - The 19-20 UX Group members participated in and hosted focus groups that gathered feedback and opinions from students about Information Technology's technology support website. The group built an advanced Qualtrics survey to serve as a "secret shopper" tool to evaluate the services and the customer service at the CLC Connection Center through phone and in-person. Before the COVID-19 quarantine, the group began evaluating the Xavier community's space needs and wants throughout the McDonald Library building.
