Erica Powers is a Human Resources Business Partner at Xavier University, where she collaborates with academic and administrative units to develop strategies that advance Xavier’s mission and goals. With more than 19 years of HR experience, she specializes in employee relations, organizational development, and strategic workforce planning.

Erica joined the Office of Human Resources in 2024 and takes pride in bringing a collaborative approach to every partnership. She values partnership and works to establish trusted relationships with leaders and colleagues alike.

In her role, Erica works closely with campus leaders to ensure policies and processes are followed while also driving process improvement initiatives. She serves as the HR Business Partner for Faculty and Staff within the Provost division, managing sensitive issues and guiding employees through complex workplace matters.

Outside of work, Erica enjoys creating floral arrangements for weddings and special events. She also loves spending time with family and friends, discovering new restaurants, and hunting for bargains while shopping.

As a proud Xavier alumna, she feels deeply grateful to serve the institution that shaped her own academic journey.
