To mark the 250th, two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Alan Taylor joins us to discuss the national implications of events in the Ohio country at the end of the American Revolution.
Alan Taylor (U. of Virginia) is one of the nation’s leading historians of the American Revolutionary Era. He was featured prominently in the recent Ken Burns documentary on the American Revolution on PBS. His books include Liberty Men and Great Proprietors, William Cooper’s Town, The Internal Enemy and, most recently, American Civil Wars: A Continental History.
This event is presented by the American Founding and Constitution Program, the Department of History, the Smith Scholars Program, and the Jack Miller Center for Teaching America’s Founding Principles and History.
