Diversity Reception

Network with organizations that embrace and support diversity, equity, inclusion, and allyship in the workplace at the Virtual Diversity Reception on Tuesday, March 16, 5:00-7:30 PM facilitated via Handshake.

To ensure the health and safety of all participating students and organizations, the Diversity Reception will be a virtual event. Participants will have the opportunity to communicate via text and video with organization representatives.  This event is an excellent networking opportunity, allowing students to learn about employers, their anticipated hiring needs, diverse hiring initiatives, and opportunities for allies. 

Because the Diversity Reception is being facilitated via the Handshake virtual career fair platform, many resources below will reference virtual career fairs.  All resources are applicable to the virtual Diversity Reception networking event.  

PREPARE FOR THE DIVERSITY RECEPTION

• Complete your Handshake profile and set to public.
• Ensure your polished and updated resume is uploaded to your Handshake profile for employers participating in the event to view.
• Professional attire strongly recommended.
• Sign up for sessions in advance to ensure you connect with your preferred employers.
• Schedule an appointment with a Career Coach or connect with a Career Ambassador if you need help preparing for the event.
